E.C. Manning Provincial Park established in 1941, was named for Ernest C. Manning. He was the chief Provincial Forester from 1936 to 1941. The Hope Princeton Highway (Hwy. 3 / Crowsnest) was constructed between 1945 and 1949. The Park is a great place for skating, hiking, biking, skiing, bird watching, snowshoeing, canoeing, horseback riding and camping. Manning Park Lodge (64K from Hope) is roughly halfway between the two communities of Hope and Princeton (164K) from Hope. |
